Left Bank Books

posted on October 28, 2017

I had to show a couple of shots of the beautiful Union Station Hotel in St. Louis. It’s quite an amazing place.

As is Left Bank Books, one of the coolest bookstores on the tour so far. It’s one of those bookstores with a great atmosphere and great selection. I could have spent several more hours there just checking everything out. I’m pretty well stocked for my winter reading in the cartoonist fortress of solitude, but I still found something I could add. Winter is coming… bundle up!

And just in case you’re looking to stock up for your winter reading as well…

Batty Batom Bullpen – Tom Lyle

What you see here is the layout sketch that Tom Lyle sent me for Batom’s Jim Volk Private Investigator cover. It’s so cool that it almost makes an amazing cover all on it’s own. Tom, like all of the other Batty Batom Bullpenners, gave it his all on the finished cover which you see on display in the Gallery. We’re only a few weeks away from the auction of all of these covers at the Heritage Auction in Beverly Hills. To see what it’s all about, check out the the article from the Intelligent Collector that’s cached on the interviews page.
